I did the inaugural Lobo Loco long distance rally last weekend and had a blast. Bikes of all shapes and sizes from Harleys to sports bikes to a Yamaha WT200 (which he took over the Burlington Skyway!). About half the riders were new to rallying (me included), and 1/4 were female, and a lady won the whole thing on a 1600cc BMW. There are prizes for 2-up, smallest bike and a pile of other things. I did a write up on here.
This is what got me hooked: "Looking for a reason to ride your motorcycle? Want to do more than just ride to a local coffee shop? Interested in discovering interesting new places, strange landmarks, and cool items?"
Wolfe Bonham, the guy who arranged this, is putting together another one in October. If you're interested, keep an eye on the Facebook page as more info comes out. It's a great day of focused riding and navigation.
