Liter Bike insurance for a 25 year old...

I tried the online websites and they won't give me a quote. So I called a SF agent since I'm assuming they'll be the best to go with but they won't either because I'm looking for a hypothetical quote...

They want my license # and all that info, I'm assuming to look me up so I just told em straight up I don't fit their criteria yet but want to get an idea of what I'll be looking at.

At the time I'll be insuring it I'll have been licensed for 9 years, riding for 6, GM license. All my tickets will be off and I'm hoping not to get any more. I'm looking at having a 2012 ZX10r in 2015 and am already starting to save so just wanted to get an idea...Any real brokers or guys in that age range that can give me an idea?

29 last year was quoted $92 a month for a 2012 GSXR1000 through SF. Spotless record and live in the country.

If you don't mind.. how long have you been riding & is the bike insured in Barrie or the GTA?
I pay $130 for an older GSXR600 insured through SF - same age/spotless record.

Eff me sideways.

since your asking for a ballpark, 29, clean, 1000RR @ $1050/yr w/ SF, liability and comp, house and 2 cars, was about the same when I was 26

15 years riding but only M1/M2. Bike is insured within Guilford (Between Barrie/Bradford). Key I have been told was cause i'm on the A-Plan. That quote was before I had switched my car policy over.

is that including a house or car?
At the time of the quote no. I have since switched everything over to them though so I would only expect slightly lower.

How long have you been riding/insured? If you're paying that much on a 600 in Mississauga I guess I should expect about 160-200 a month for a 1000...Still not that bad.

After all the money I'll save from quitting weed after smoking that **** multiple times a day, everyday for the past 8 years, spending 60-80 bucks a week, I should be alright...
I got serious about wanting my next bike and it was my only incentive to quit cold turkey...

just call statefarm give them all your info then when they tell you that they wont take you ask them how much it will be in (x) amount of years when your records clean and they will give you an idea

SF knocks 40% off your bike premiums when you bring them your car (In the "A" Plan)

I have 3 years experience. I checked on the Duc 848 / Honda 1k / R1 - All within $200 - $245 per month. Not worth the price of admission, to me.

Good to know the quote will drop 40% then...

Just make sure thye didn't quote you with already having your car with them as that $92/month is about the same for Kitchener with having a car with them.

10-4 got that quote months before bringing my other policies over.

i just turned 25, was with statefarm last year paid 157/month for a cbr250r. Now that I'm 25 i got quoted 119/month for a cbr600rr, clean record GM2.
I'm in brampton, my friend in toronto who is 28 got quoted 130$ for the same bike.

If they can afford to knock off so much of a premium when you bring another vehicle over, they're clearly making a huge profit...how is this allowed, I thought rate increases were strictly regulated. Bloody scam

Its a well known fact SF rapes you on car insurance...It seems in Ontario the insurance companies do whatever the hell they want.
