Does anyone have experience with this particular brand? Are they designed for very short people? I've got them on my 08 Gsxr 1000 and they're as low as I can get them on the brackets but I still can't take the weight off my foot to move it properly on the pegs.

I don't like mine. Honestly for the track, I had to move them all the way up and back, and I also have them on an 08 GSX-R. Depends on your body type, I suppose.

What I don't like about them is how slippery the pegs are, for an aggressive track rearset they should stick like my Woodcrafts, but they don't. I've dropped a foot off a few times.

Woodcraft rearsets are great for grip... not too much, not too little. You can easily take some pressure off and slide your foot around to re-position and pressure on to get grip. Vortex are a little TOO grippy in my opinion. I have to literally lift my foot off slightly just to re-position. Just got them so I guess I'm not used to them yet.

The amount of grip isn't really an issue, it's that I can't get them low enough. I'm 6' tall so I'm not overly long...in the leg, I'm going to try and flip the actual bracket and see if I can get them to a reasonable height for me to work with. I was more or less wondering if other brands were a little more accommaditaing for longer legs or if it's the bike and I just have to get used to it.

My Lightechs have scarred peg ends... at their highest setting. An 08 GSX-R will lean until the tire runs out, naturally. I'd say learn to go with it, it will help you put your weight forward too... and I'd suggest flaring the bars out a bit if you find the positioning tight.

Not looking to make it a low rider, I had no problems with my 07 Gsxr 600 oem sets raised up, could move comfortably. I have Harris rearsets on my zx10 and they're great but these are just rediculasly high even on the lowest setting. I probably need another 1/2"-3/4" to make them useable and I'll still have no clearance problems, that's if I can even switch the brackets.
