Liability Only

I have liability and theft on my ninja 250. The theft was only an extra $30 or so per year so I figured even though a 250 is not likely to get stolen it seemed silly not to spend the extra $30.

Liability+comprehensive only unless you can't afford to replace the bike if you mess up.

I have liability + fire and theft (for a couple bucks more a month) for a cbr125. Even though the bike isn't worth much, I got fire and theft for piece of mind - nobody wants their things stolen.

Liability only. 2011 CBR 600RR. and under 25 <-- that should explain why liability only and still getting bent over. The way i look at it is, if, in order to get comprehensive coverage i`m paying $1k more per year i`ll take my chances.

I am looking to get liability only, i never asked about full coverage but I am going to ask right before I start my policy

Im 17, liability only on a 650r they said would be $250 a month, cant afford much more :(

I have liability only on my cruiser, and full coverage on the SS>

I say depends where you keep the bike, and what you use the bike for. if the bike is being parked in the open (incl. Condo parking lot), and in Toronto, then i'd recommend you get theft protection.

because of your age, i understand you don't have much of a choice. if you try full coverage it's the insurance company's party. i would say just try to best deal possible. take your chances and stick to liability only. BUt you have to more careful where you park the bike, especially if downtown. also, look into getting a disc lock.

I have only had liability on all my bikes and cars for the last 20yrs.I don't understand how people can afford full coverage. My v rod is $800 a year liability only and 1700 with full coverage.I also go for the maximum deductible on all insurance that they will allow.I have an excellent record with no claims, the one accident I did get into was a girl who ran a stop sign and even though my company had to pay(recipricle agreement) my insurance never went up as I was o% at fault.
So far on the v rod alone I have saved 2700 over the past 3yrs and far more over the years on my other bikes and cars.If I mess up and take a $ hit i'm of the opinion that the bike has been paid for a few times over in savings,so far so good.I can also piece it back together far cheaper then the insurance company through the bone yards and classifieds. The trick is that you have to buy your bike out right and be able to bank roll the damage when it happens. Then have the resources and tenacity to get back together and on the road.

Liability only for me on the FZR400. $1000/year. I park my bike in the garage and only leave it in the open parking lot when I'm out somewhere.

You're probably not a 18yr old on that bike lol

Haha no I'm old :P

But I'm not sure the FZR400, though a nice bike, is worth putting fire and theft on. Has anyone actually had fire damage to their bike? I mean. If it's in your house and the house gets caught on fire, does the home insurance not cover the bike instead?
