So...home depot had these on sale for $129, but they are back at $199.

Can't afford 2x $199.....would anyone know where I can find something like this for cheap?

I think you'd have a hard time finding a decent leather chair for less than $200. If you do, you should be wondering where and by whom the chair was made.

Have you tried Leons, Bad Boy or The Brick?

Those places have weekly sales so you might get lucky.

For that price you are probably getting bonded leather (thin layer of genuine leather laminated on cloth). They look decent, but in constant use expect ~2 years from them before they look like hell (and the fabric is unrepairable). If they don't get used often, they may fit the bill. Costco sells a lot of bonded leather furniture.

Just took by brother-in-laws bonded leather sofa to the curb. It was a small 3 seat sofa bought 2 years ago for $1000 from Leons or the brick. My parents 15 year old genuine leather sofa is in much better shape than that one was. Most of the back of the couch had the leather delaminate from the backing cloth (and then tear away as the leather was << 1mm thick).
