Lets hear it for all the full M riders- JUST GOT MINE an hour ago!!! :)

Congratulations, enjoy the freedom. Ride safe and Good luck

I'm going for mine in two weeks!! :p Congratulations!! Also do you have any advice or pointers?

I always found it weird that the only difference between M2 and full M is the alcohol thing. It's like saying it's ok to drink and drive once you get your M the way they have just that one thing set aside. But even a couple beverages can still make your skills diminish quite a bit, moreso on a bike than in a car. Be careful. Even when i get my full M i don't plan to drink alcohol at all on days when i plan to ride.

You definitely need good equilibrium when on a bike which alcohol does effect. If Im gonna get smashed Im leaving the bike and car at home. However its really about making a smart choice. Not being mentally and or physically fit to ride a bike in anyway shape or form is irresponsible and asking for trouble period. With that said going to a strip club on bikes is cool ..... ordering water because you have an M2 isnt :lmao: LMAO jk

Welcome!!

Got mine a cpl weeks ago in Burlington. Best advice I got was enjoy the ride. If you stress out you might make newbie mistakes. A Harley guy right before me failed bc he didn't know you were supposed to stop at a red light before turning right. Threw a hissy fit and peeled out of the parking lot.
Chances are you know how to ride so just enjoy it. Little things add up: tracks, left-right-left etc.
I kinda panicked not knowing the area and merged onto the west QEW instead of east, thought I failed right then and there lol

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why it doesn't affect insurance?

Actually I just got mine today :D I'm unofficially a GM - I will be officially when I take the envelope to the ministry, probably tomorrow or during the week sometime.

Fantastic! I decided to do it through an M2 exit course with Learning Curves, I did my M1 exit with them as well and the instructors are all fantastic. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who is nervous about taking the test with the ministry or want's to refresh themselves on riding with more awareness, or if you're like me and just don't like standing in any sort of lines. :D Well worth the money.
