LED license plate bolt repairable?

The red power wire was torn out of my LED license plate bolt. If I put the wire back down the hole, the LED comes on. Can the bolt / light be opened so i can permanently reattach the wire?

I don't want to buy another pair of lights if I dont have to.

The bolts look similar to this one here

Since it's already facked, try to get it apart so you can resolder the connection. I suspect that they will have glued the LED in and it won't be very cooperative. It looks like removing the nut, then putting a small pry bar between the washer and cylinder and tapping it with a hammer may bust them open.

Most likely they might be epoxied to keep them waterproof

Always boggles the mind how cheap you can get stuff shipped to your door from China.
