Lake Placid Hotels

Hey,

Heading down to Lake Placid on a last minute trip this weekend, i checked expedia/hotels.com and everything seems to be booked up. Does anybody know of some spots that are decent and won't break the bank.

Any suggestions would be awesome!

If you don't need to be right in Lake Placid... I usually stay HERE when I'm in the area on a bike trip.

Another place I have stayed it in Tupper Lake. Nice small town.

When I was there I camped, but there was also a hotel at the campground, just outside of lake placid, ten minutes maybe.

There is a couple of pools here, backs on the river. Also have cabins.

I don't think the hotel is anything special but I'd go back there. There is a nice pub/resto across the road.
