Does anyone know if the Labour Force Survey(LFS) by StatCan is Mandatory or voluntary and only disguised under the word "Mandatory" as a fear mechanism. Because as i understand, the census in the only survey a Canadian citizen is lawfully obliged to take. Also, if it is in fact mandatory by Canadian Law, what are the legal penalties for not taking it? For those who dont know, it is a 6 months long survey that pokes into all of your personal life and ignores our RIGHT of privacy (which is why i find it hard to believe as a legally mandatory survey)
