KW Bike Shops - Recommendations for service

Any recommendations for dealers for servicing Yamaha in KW?

So far I have dealt with Tri-City.... I'll save the RANT for now.

I have talked to a few, maybe its me, but they seem to be a bunch of tools... most have an attitude that is pathetic, like you are an interuption...

I haven't had much luck, with the money invested, I've gotten some pretty crappy service, damaged bike.... scratched, oil over fill, ... the list goes on... from various shops.

The point of this thread is not to hear "do it yourself". I pay good money for it to be done by someone else, and to keep it in pristine shape, but so far, I've had gas tank scratched, fairing scratched, @#%#!! I've even driven to London to get work done out of frustration

Being in KW myself and riding a Suzuki, I would like to hear about the problems. I have been to Tri-City and they have treated me pretty good so far.

I like the Honda dealership but I guess that doesn't help for a Yamaha and they usual have a waiting list.
I try to do as much as I can unless it is something like valve shims which I will book ahead of time.

I work at Two Wheel Motorsport in Guelph, we're not a Yamaha dealer but we have a good bunch of mechanics on hand however we're not a discount shop either. There's also Power Sport Junction up the road who is a Yamaha Dealer. Both shops are on HWY6.

I got my R6's safety done at Tri City. It took a while to get it done (parts took a while to arrive), but it appears to be holding together alright :?. That being said, when I asked for some tires, they said the set was $309 installed, and it was about $360 when I looked on the bill. I didn't bring it up with them, I'll let the first mistake like that slide. I'd go back, if that means anything.

The whole store itself looks really random, and I don't think they have the best gear prices.

I cant say anything about the mechanics as I have never taken my bike to their shop.
However I know Ian is really good with prices. I bought a dual sena Bluetooth smh10 units there at a price I couldn't match anywhere even ebay, I also got an icon contra jacket and he beat the price that I could have got it off the net for.
If I need gear I will always give Ian a shout before I order from any one else. You never know unless you ask and what's the worst that happens they say no. Big deal, but that's me.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Sweet, thanks for the tip. Good to know. I'm going to be looking for a jacket and helmet shortly, so I'll head to Ian and see what can be done.

I'm really hoping that they get the Shark helmets in sometime this year. Yamaha dealers are supposed to be carrying them any time now.
