I can't believe how helpful and friendly this place is, right from the blonde secretary in miniskirt at the front desk to that spanish dude (Cameron) on the floor sales to the young guys and girls in the second floor where the helmets are.

I went in not too long ago and slowly watched the new bikes in the showroom. A blonde girl says "Hi how are you". About 2 minutes later this chubby dude with green/blue eyes is walking with a customer past me and says "I'll be soon with you sir". About 3 minutes later that spanish salesman is walking with a woman past me and stops to shake my hand and tells me he'll be with me "very soon".

I walk to the 2nd floor to look at some hemlets, this girl asks me if I needed help looking at something, I said "No it's okay". I walk to the back to look at some Shoie helmets and a young guy tells me to give him a "holler" if I needed to ask some questions. I didn't buy a helmet but grabbed chain loob and proceeded to pay for it. There was a woman buying a helmet in front of me and she was taking her time with the bloody interac machine, making mistakes and starting over. I then saw the same chubby guy (in his 40's, the one from the 1st floor) walking into a storage room and he asks me "Are you being taken care of?" I said "I'm just waiting for her to finish her purchase", the chubby guy then hollers at a young guy to take care of me, the young dude walks up and takes care of me, even joking that I had the same last name as a serial killer that was famous 20 years ago.

Have these guys always been this nice? I've seen this kind of excellent customer service only at Apple stores.

Pegassus thread: Delivers.

I love how you have the opposite everything (opinion/experience) of everyone else. LOL

Man, GTAM needs a thread of the day contest or something...You can't make this stuff up. 100% gold !

Just stay away from the damn schoolgirls ok...

Gotta love Peggy

I've never heard a good word. I did even hear a confirmed story that a 'tech' there 'forgot' to put brake fluid back in a bike and it went out the door and almost caused the rider a serious accident in traffic. So whatever you're smokin peggy, keep it up

Wow . I thought the title of the thread was a joke lol.... when I started reading, I was like .. woa .... woa ... a positive experience lol ?

Kahuna has an upstairs? I've been there a bunch of times and never noticed that. I mean I saw some stairs but I thought that was for employees only.

Lol, looks like 2 guys really wanted to take care of you but you needed to grab some chain "loob".

Anyways, its great if they really did improve on their service but its usually a whole different story when it comes to big purchases/services.

Buying a can of chain lube doesn't really help show how great their customer service is.

I've been a customer of theirs since the days they were at Highway 7/Highway 27 and then when they set up shop at that Alfa Romeo dealership on Steeles ave W, now they are called Kahuna Powersports and their service continues to be top notch, I don't know what you guys are talking about.

P.S. Kahuna Powersports did work on my old bike (gear box problems) that no other shop would touch for under $1,000 (estimate), Kahuna did the work for $350 dollars. How about that for a good experience?

Glad you had a good experience.. But most of us didn't. Like I said I bought a brand new zx6r and went for first service.. Got my bike back I noticed the coolent was very low, when I pointed that out I was told to go upstairs and buy some.... Get my point.. The first service is to catch things such as that(loose bolts, fluid levels, etc).. So after paying premium full price for bike u had to bloody hell buy my own coolant.

I've had two bikes serviced there over 4 years. Nothing but good experiences so far. There are alot more positive experiences than bad ones. It's either not as many people post the positive ones, or the fact people tend to only read about the negative ones.

Wait a minute but who's fault was that? Theirs for missing this detail, or yours for giving them the money first before fully inspecting the bike for these things? Also you are a push-over, I would have told them "Yeah right, I just paid you $10,000 bucks and you're telling me to go buy coolant? Put coolant on my bike or I'm going to report you to the owner and spread this around the internet".

I went to Kahuna yesterday at lunch to buy a Kuryakin Throttle Boss.

Now, granted, most stores are less busy on a weekday at lunch hour, so that's why I do a lot of my shopping then. Kahuna is only 15 mins from my office & home so I hope I would get decent service as it's my closest dealership.

Although I only bought one small item, the staff all seemed very friendly & attentive; the accessoires guy was happy to demonstrate a couple of different throttle locks for me.

One more positive experience.

I walked into Ready Powesports a couple weeks ago and wasn't even acknowledged. Negative experience.

Reading the post, i was pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Please tell me he was. Or at least drunk or something. No healthy sober mind can possibly like Kahuna. Maybe the staff are nice but the over over over priceed everything just ruins all the niceness. A friggin damn screw costs $10 (and im not talking about the girl in mini skirt :D)

Really? I want to order a whole spare set of fairing screwed for my 650R and the best price I can find online is about $1.75 each and I thought that was high. Some sites are asking over $3 for the same screw.

I thought the review was sarcastic at first, as well. Everyone constantly asking if they can help me drives me insane. If I look lost or I'm staring right at your face obviously with a question, then ask. Otherwise once when I get there and maybe check on me a few times is fine but everyone I walk past asking me just get annoying.

I dont know about your experience but heres mine. I called TODAY to get a quote on a tranny job. The same issue described to 4 other shops was quoted for ~10 hours of labor. Kahuna just gave me a 15-20 hour quote. So either all other 4 shops are equally incompetent or Kahuna is chagring up the aarrrs. And im not even talking about their hourly rate, just the quote. Thats a difference of $500-$1000

Been to kahuna a number of times and can't say I have ever been served to the point that I would even consider writing a review. For the most part I feel like I'm invisible when I go in there. I've stood at the counter upstairs waiting for service, heard a lot about how the weekend was and the bitching about why so and so never brings in coffee anymore. At one time they had a counter guy that seemed to care, I think his name is Scott, outside of that it is like they are doing the customer a favour. The attitude needs adjusting in a big way.

Usually this sort of thing comes from the top, but I have met Joe on a few occasions and I can tell that he gets it. Why his staff doesn't is a mystery.
