KLR people are twisted

Not if you dig the ditch deep enough.......
Sure but the front should be buried then.

Sorry. "dig a ditch!" was the refrain whenever somebody at a rally started spinning a wheel on anything other than pavement. Years ago at the sportbike rally in Parry Sound a guy half buried the wheel of his LC350 and no longer had need for the kick stand.

Are these things that good? Seems like a very hard stance to keep em forever.

On the inside of my garage door there's a list of all the street bikes I've owned over 40+ years of riding. Out of those 13 or 14 bikes the klr is at or near the top.
Comfy relaxed riding position, and long travel suspension soaking up bumps makes long distances easy. It's good on gas and has a large tank.
120kph all day long and still have a little in the tank for passing.
It's a very simple bike. Reliable. Not much to break and easy to work on if it does.
It's a heavy dirt bike but quite a light street bike. You can pretend it's a dirt bike and it doesn't bite back hard showing you it's not. I've learned this over numerous get offs and rarely needed more than zip ties for a repair.
And lastly there is just something about riding a big thumper that is both unique and ridiculously fun.
Oh, and you get to be the butt of a lot of milk crate jokes. Oh my the jocularity.

Hey @mimico_polak did you see in the Africa Twin thread that Toslow traded his hog and Versys for the new ride but kept his KLR. To borrow from a beer ad "those who like em like em alot"
