Great killboy pic. Anybody know who the rider is? That's going too hard on the street for me but looks great and he made it so good for them.

Killboy doesn't black out plates and I haven't heard of them being accused of photoshop before. They post many thousands of pictures a day. Some days have over 2000 pics just of sportbikes and are something like 20 other categories.

A picture without a date/time is not very effective in a potential prosecution. Cops would need to seize the original file, call the photog as a witness, etc. Unless the ape crashed into a wagon full of babies, I can't see them bothering to try to ticket from pictures.

can't lay charges without identifying who the rider was during the event. so without a traffic stop or close pursuit, good luck with that.

And ... How fast was the rider going?

There's no law concerning lean angle. And, rather importantly, the rider was on the correct side of the centre line (which IS a big deal, as it should be).

That the rider was on the correct side of the centre line and thus not straightening the corner much ... probably means the speed wasn't outrageously high. More than 30 mph? Probably ... but "probably" doesn't cut it in court.

Killboy has posted loads of pictures of cars (and bikes) on the wrong side of the centre line, and the cops haven't done much with those.

I assume the ticket would be careless or similar or not riding for road conditions (although I would argue that if they made the corner, they were riding to road conditions). Sequential photos may work for speed. I have no idea if time stamps are sub second or if burst is a reliable shot interval (reliable enough to stand up in court). For all the reasons you said and more, I would not be at all concerned about the plate and expect almost a zero percent chance of the photo being used in court (unless you hit a wagon full of babies or a senators family member).
