Stereotyping here but if you like big boobies you would likely prefer caucasion protests.

While Chinese competative spirit in many things is extreme (Chinese diver in failure mode because he didn't get the gold medal, only silver) they have party animals as well, and thugs and just ordinary decent people.

I don't think the Chinese are alone in the education push. Basically any race coming from a disadvantaged background tends to push their kids to success. The next generation does well but fails to pass on the pressure.

If mom and dad work grueling jobs to pay for education it's easy for them to guilt trip the kids into studying hard. When the next generation gets fat rich how are the parents supposed to guilt trip the kids?

1st Gen immigrants break their backs for their kids for a 'better life' (manual labour, service industry jobs, for example)
2nd Gen now educated are making the $$ and have a much 'easier' life and are financially better off. (Engineers, dentists, etc)
3rd Gen is now wealthy and lazy due to lack of work ethic and now just spend the family money (new money, rich kid on instagram comes to mind....)

Then the cycle repeats.

Not all Asians are hard working. And not all young-liberals are lazy either.

And the fact is, most young people are of 'good things must be earned' mindset. It's just that the select few paint the negative picture for all of the group.
