Key Copying Shoutout!

Hello Good People!

I just wanted to give a shoutout to PROHardware on Sherbourne st, south of Front St., just below Raba's in Toronto.
I went to 3 different Canadian Tires, 2 Home Depots, and a Walmart to just be turned away because they didn't have the blank key for my Suzuki GS500. Apparently it's difficult to find Suzuki blanks =S I even called up the stealership but it was $20 for a blank and a 2 week wait to order.
A friend recommended PROHardware and they had one available from their wall of keys, and copied it for $5. Very kind, modest Pap&Son shop.

Hope it helps with your key cutting needs!

Cheers & Happy Riding!

Canadian Tire has not done well for me copying motorcycle keys. Either they won't do it, or their attempts do not work.

When I lived in Rexdale, there was a small shoe shop in the corner of the Woodbine Centre that copied keys and sold cheap belts. He has never failed to successfully copy a key for me, and as far as I know he's still there. He replaced the velcro on some Alpinestars boots, too.

Canadian Tire are a bunch of clowns. I went maybe 4 times to CT at Bay/Dundas to get a key made and the key guy was either gone for the day, or not yet in, or nowhere to be found. Finally I got it done at some small shop at Queen West (near John).

I have to go to one of these places. I have 3 honda keys that honda themselves cant even copy, and my mailbox key for my apartment... Would be nice to finally get copies of those keys.

I just go to a locksmith. Costs a little more but they always have the right blanks.

Crappy Tire cut a key for my 650R but it was wider than the slot so it wouldn't fit.

My father went there to get a key cut for his Echo and the guy argued with him that his car required a chip so the key wouldn't work. He told them to just copy it anyway because they didn't know what they were talking about. That car has no chip and the key worked fine.
