Okay GTAM, there is just over 1 month until Ride for Sight 2014! So far, we are in the lead for the on-line fundraising group challenge at $14,065! That is awesome, but as we know, other teams tend to wait until the end and give a big push and can really challenge us. There are currently 9 members on the GTAM team and of those 9, only 6 have donations on-line so far. Lets get those donations in and on-line and create a gap so big that no team could catch us!
If you've never been to Ride for Sight, why not make this the year? June 6,7,8 at the Lindsay Exhibition Fairgrounds. Team GTAM camp together and always have a ton of fun getting up to shenanigans! Ride for Sight has lots to do and see, and all motorcycles are welcome. There will be demo rides, bike games like slow race, barrel push, bite the weenie, hammer toss, balloon toss and more. There will be daily and nightly concerts, a Friday night barn dance, mechanical bull riding, and a burn out competition! Not to mention all of the non-organized fun!
The parade this year will leave from the Lindsay Ex and take a 90 min tour of the Kawartha Lakes area. As someone who lives in Peterborough, I can tell you it should be an excellent ride.
So join team GTAM, get you're fundraising going, and be sure to enter it on-line to help the team win the on-line fundraising challenge! Or, if you can't make it to Ride for Sight but would like to help out team GTAM, and make the gov't give you a little of your money back next spring, click on the second link and make a donation!
Cheers.
