I am looking at new bikes (and some used). It seems the price of new CBR125R can't be beat? $3k and I can get a new bike.
Also it comes in orange/black color scheme. Any thoughts about it?

thanks

125 is just fine, however, you won't have enough power for the highway. I, myself, have been looking at a cbr250r, but people keep telling me ill get bored.

Get what you want but make sure it can do what you want I guess!

im on my 250, still not bored, will keep it till i turn 25.. 2y3m to go. everyone is different, ill tell you right now im not going to get bored of it. but i would like to upgrade when i turn 25. its a great bike to learn on, good keeping up on the highway. buy used so if you drop it in your first year you wont be so ****** at yourself.

cbr250 is hard to find! lower priced one i mean.

any opinions on Yamaha XT225? vs. Kawasaki ninja 250r?
will i look like a drug runner on the xt225?

So far on either of my bikes (250 and 1100) I can honestly say I have never been bored.
Occasionally scared out of my skin, but never bored.

I started on a 250, then moved up to 1100. The 250 is still a blast to ride. It turns easy, stops on a dime and can carve corners with ease.
What it lacks is a ton of get up and go, which when learning is a good thing. After a season worth of riding the 250 the transition to
the 1100 was a breeze.

Remember this is your first bike, but hopefully not your last.

I love the XT225, it just has that all purpose enduro look.
