Just got my full M License

So I just got my full M License and called up Statefarm to update my record. To my surprise, apparently there is no rate reduction for going from M2 to M. I plan on calling around for new insurance quotes now but just wanted to see if others have received the same response from their current insurance provider. If not, please let me know which company you are with.

About me:

30 yr old

lives in Toronto
2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R
Full M and G license
clean record

OP, they told me the same thing. I'm located in Kitchener.

I just got my M yesterday too. I called TD and they said the same thing, no change from M2 to M.

Aviva lowers the rate once you achieve your M. These insurance companies are all crooks in th is province.

State Farm does not care if you have your M1 for that matter!

Im with TD and they said i have 5 years of my M2, so once i get my M this month it wont matter...as for when i did some quotes with RBC...they said they wouldnt insure unless you have your M, and might be cheaper. give them a call and find out

I did a lot of checking around and also have other family members who ride and we all use a company called " The Personal ". Try them

No rate change from my m1 to m2 as well with SF.

They give a big discount through my work. I was an idiot and went with TD before contacting them. I should see what they will charge me when it comes for renewal, my car is with them and was $50/month cheaper than anywhere I found.

Most recreational vehicles are also covered by your auto insurance policy. Watercraft (e.g., motorboats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks, rowboats, pedal boats) or personal watercraft are covered by your property insurance policy, with specific protection.

Damn.

So, my insurance with TD for bike isn't even needed?!
