Jevco or Aviva ?

I need to insure a vintage motorcycle for the first time. The two companies that were even willing to talk to me were AVIVA and JEVCO. Their quotes were extremely close ($5 difference) and now I need to make a decision which company to choose.

Any recommendations / experience ?

Thanks

I've had a good experience dealing with Aviva. Careful with jevco, through no fault of your own they may arbitrarily decide they dont like the model of your bike and jack your rates up 5000% (no joke).

(See what happens when you pull that crap jevco? word of mouth can be your best friend or worst enemy)

If you're just looking to insure the bike, I would flip a coin. If you're looking to bundle other things down the road such as cars, home, boats, cottages etc.. Aviva is the better option because they offer really good discounts across all lines of business - and they have very competitive rates for home and auto. Jevco is considered a sub-standard market for auto, meaning they take high-risk drivers (tickets, claims), so if you're clean, you'd never insure your cars with Jevco.

I am going to get insurance from JEVCO. I am quoted for $660/yr from my 2003 Kawi ZZR250 with Full coverage. Is this a good deal?

Sounds like an awesome deal to me. Then again, it does depend on your location, age, experience, and history.
