anyone else seen a jump in premiums.

What kind of bikes?

my bike has nothing to do with those ss bikes. i was wondering how the jevco rumors would affect me. i guess this is how.

i should have plenty of options out there regardless. what are good options for over 25 with 2 years experience and non super sport bike.

talked to the broker. supposedly with jevco you need 3 years experience to get a good quote now. jevco looks like they will not be taking newbs with 1 old year licences anymore.

Jevco was recently bought by Intact Insurance and they're starting to restructure everything.

interesting.. I might have to see what my rates are now.. maybe they discount for the older guys now ;-)
(doubt it)

Phew, I just made the cut.
NExt season I"ll be 25 w/ 3 yrs exp. Let's see if they'll give me a decent deal. I've only been looking at bikes that'll get me anything below $1500. Hopefully I'll be able to get the bike I want this time.

When did you get your G1? State farm will probably be around $1200 for you. Motorcycle experience (M1/M2/M) doesn't affect your rate at all.

I can second this. I just got insurance with State Farm for my r6, just got my M2 so no prior motorcycle experience and it is 114 a month out the door

Nice! Now don't do anything to mess it up! Keep the front wheel on the ground and the speeds less than 50+ ;)

Thats the plan. Except on the highway, I think that might piss quite a few people off
You'd piss people off if you went less than 150?

I said keep speeds LESS than 50 OVER ;)

Jevco rates have got up significantly.. especially if they reclassify your bike!! Wankers!

Anyway, any other good insurance companies to deal with ?? that dont nee dyou to move your other vehicles to them?

i just paid them their 1700. don't really want to go with state farm as they would probably drop my ***

i'll fall in to their 700 dollar category next year as long as they don't re classify my fz6 standard sport

Just got my notice in the mail today that Intact Insurance acquired Jevco, and that rates won't change until renewal. I'm scared for my renewal!
