I know kind of random... but comin home last night I encountered one, and we all know its a sexy mofo, but it is also fast as hell!!!! Give it just a tiny bit of legs and any bike can forget about it!

I had one attempt to pass me going north a few weekends back. At a wee bit over the speed limit it left me sitting still like I hit the brakes. It was far from stock but I said the same thing "damn that thing is fast"

Your on a R1 ? Theres a few diff hp variables for the GTR. 485hp I believe is what they until the new GTR 2013 ?. After drivetrain loss that car doesnt make much for weight to power..... unless that one was modified. You should have been long gone.
 
Was it the NEXTMOD one?
 
I love that car but they are pretty heavy. OP didn't really say he was racing it though. I've seen quite a few in Mississauga now, there was a nice black matte showcase one FS for $90k earlier this year.
 
They dont look bad but it doesnt come 6 speed so its off my list. Im a Porsche fanatic. Bring the GTR's :)

hopefully for the $90k the transmission isn't ruined from doing the hard launches which can void the warranty (I remember that being the biggest things with these cars with launch control) people would complain and take them back to the dealership they would take the vehicle in and warranty would be void and then find out they have like a $5k-$10k bill for repairs.
 
I wont say anything on here about racing, but I am telling you we were having fun , it was 2 am and things got real... lol, and even though I am on an R1, and i believe my bikes top speed it 270( not saying I was doing that) but, I was ahead of him for like first 7 secs and then whoooomp he flew the F past me and no chance of catching him.
I have no idea what kind it was, I know it was black, and i checked the website and the 565hp one is the black model one only.

Just sayin...

Hm, I highly doubt it was stock. If you look at the 1/4 and 0-200km/h timings your bike rips it apart. However, if the GTR you dinked around with wasn't stock, Google shows some pretty crazy top speeds close of 400km/h.

I don't believe motorcycles are aerodynamically efficient so cars will always win top speed.
 
Youtube video of a Nissan GT-R Switzer P800 going against a Hayabusa. Unfortunately the Busa is limited to 300 km/h. According to the 1/4 mile times, both vehicles are neck and neck against the plain jane GT-R, but I don't believe that.

Personally I don't care for straight line racing, take the worlds fastest car and head over to IOM TT and go against some of the bikes there, I'd love to see how far behind that car would be :)

GtRs top speed is higher than 270
