Jeero had a crash Tuesday night:

Left forearm broken, fixed with plates and rods. Right shoulder is getting xrayed tomorrow because it started to be in immense pain last night.
Right knee banged up but will be ok.
Most likely a light concussion, helmet hit ditch hard on right side.

No skin damage, highsided straight to the ditch after losing traction in a left turn, and then hooked and launched me.

Someone wiped out in the exact same spot as me 20 minutes before i got there. They already had their bike in the truck when i came around.
One of the people there is an EMS from hamilton so he assessed the situation and took care of me properly while ambulance were en route.

Bike is beat up pretty bad too and i dont have 2-way insurance on it. The costs all fall on me.

Im ok with that though, its just metal and plastic.
I count myself lucky to still be walking, eating and have all my memory.

I was sent to St Kits hospital and got there around 10pm. Was sent home at 2am after the xrays and orthopedic Dr was gonna see me at 8:30am.
Showed up at 7:30 and waited til 2pm to be told he's too busy for me until friday morning, where i'd have to come back and wait and hope for the best.

Gf and i went to Welland hospital around 4pm, surgery happened at 10pm. I've been in bed all day today waiting for Dr to come see me. Wont be here til tomorrow. My right shoulder will get xrayed to see if anything is broken.

Morphine isnt working to dull the pain at all...but it makes fall asleep pretty easily.

Oh Man....GWS...Hang in there...The pain sucks, but I'm so glad to hear you're alive and though it'll be a long recovery, we're just glad to still have you with us =)
 
GWS. Too bad about insurance. It could've been a 'forced upgrade'.
 
At home now, but the ordeal isnt done. Need to get recasted since they did a butch job and the Dr says "Im not your slave..."

A couple days of rest and let the complaining begin!! Niagara Health System better hold on tight.

hey jeero so sorry to hear of your misfortune hang in there.It sucks and trust me I know, I have two steel plates in leg fixated with 14 screws .You are in for a long haul.Be patient the worst is the first few weeks after that the real fun begins REHAB Wishing you the best in your recovery and hope to ride with you again in the future TAKE CARE
