So I wanted to start up my own business and was looking at ways to do that. I heard of a friend of a friend who had vending machines and was doing pretty good provided that they need little attention & investment. I decided to give that a try and contacted a company called Java Max. They booked me into a seminar today at the Westin Prince Hotel...nice place; its gotta be real right? Wrong!
I was totally convinced and I must admit how sneaky those bastards have evolved to be. I almost fell for it with all their pretty brochures until they asked me for $3,000 deposit. I told him I do not have my credit card with me & I left it in the car, he insisted on my getting my card, so I told him, I don't want to make a decision today. He brought up to my attention that if I don't make a decision today, I will miss my opportunity for them closing the deal on me. They insist on rebooking a date with me, so I rebooked.
I come home to look up the company and as I thought...its a scam. I'm glad I didn't fall for that sucker!
I'm gonna have some fun with the rebooked schedule. I'm hoping they call me back
Fingers & toes crossed :jerk:
