So I wanted to start up my own business and was looking at ways to do that. I heard of a friend of a friend who had vending machines and was doing pretty good provided that they need little attention & investment. I decided to give that a try and contacted a company called Java Max. They booked me into a seminar today at the Westin Prince Hotel...nice place; its gotta be real right? Wrong!

I was totally convinced and I must admit how sneaky those bastards have evolved to be. I almost fell for it with all their pretty brochures until they asked me for $3,000 deposit. I told him I do not have my credit card with me & I left it in the car, he insisted on my getting my card, so I told him, I don't want to make a decision today. He brought up to my attention that if I don't make a decision today, I will miss my opportunity for them closing the deal on me. They insist on rebooking a date with me, so I rebooked.

I come home to look up the company and as I thought...its a scam. I'm glad I didn't fall for that sucker!

I'm gonna have some fun with the rebooked schedule. I'm hoping they call me back :D
Fingers & toes crossed :jerk:

IMO if you want to start your own business, it should be something that you're familiar with.
Something that you already know the ins and outs of.

I would never depend on a third party to help me 'stand on my feet' so to speak.
Too much risk involved when you depend on other people, especially when it 's something you have no idea of.
It's different if you already have an established company and have to hire people to run certain tasks.
However, starting off, you will need to put in a **** load of hours and commitment to get yourself going...
It doesn't matter what kind of business, nothing comes easy.

What are you doing now for work?

Male prostitution for dudes that don't know if they are in a closet or not? You could be their experiment guy. So many gay guys in Toronto so there is a big market.
