January Supershow

Hey guys. I've been a member here for a while but haven't really posted. Who's going to the Supershow in January? I've just recently finished up my build and will be displaying it in the custom hall along with my buddies bike.

Well my bike isn't the norm for this site, but I'm a local and this is the closest forum to home. I've built a 1979 Yamaha XS650 with quite a few modifications. She's been dropped 2" and I've stretched the swing arm 4". Also I've used a mono shock off of a CBR600. The seat is cantilevered over the suspension/tire and I've used a Sportster tank. Clip-ons for controls and pod filters for air.

Well here is a pic so you know what you are looking for. Enjoy!!!

While not the typical bike style people here ride/fangasm over I'm sure most can still appreciate a well-built machine (and the time/dedication that goes into modifying/customizing it.)

Keep up the good work :thumbleft:

Thanks man. I know it isn't the norm but I'm local and looking for some local feed back. I normally post over at the XS650 site but there aren't to many Torontoians or Canadians for that matter. I hope to be out at Leslie and Lakeshore a few times next season so if I don't see any of you at the show, I'll see you there.

Will check your bike out for sure.I'll be at the DOCC booth with the Muffin.

I was a Yamaha guy in the mid to late 70's and really liked the 650 twin, but never had one. Thought about buying a trashed or well worn bike and rebuilding it in flat track style, but that never happened.
