I called cornerstone and duffy for a quote in end of april for a ninja 250(i have a G1M2,21yo) and i was quoted 2277 by cornerstone and 23xx by duffy, but since i didnt have a bike at that time i didnt go with it.But i just bought a bike and will pick it up on Tues and when i called cornerstone they quoted me $28xx saying there was a significant increase in may and duffy quoted me $30xx. Why did the price hike up all of a sudden by ~600 even tho i dont have any tickets or claims or anything??Are there any other insurance companies i can try?

Also tried SF(wont insure me since i dont have a G), openroadprogram(quote-30xx) and Ridersplus(denied for reasons unknown)

I believe they both use Jevco and Jevco had an increase starting May 1st. Before May 1st, I was quoted $2800 full coverage and after May 1st, it went up to $3400 for full. So I just paid $2800 for Fire & Theft.

Riders Plus are for riders over 25 years old. And even if you had your G, State Farm wants 5 years driving experience.

the price went up because of the increase in rates in May...asked and answered by you

Yep. If you weren't going to take possession of the bike for a month or two after your quote you should've started the policy 2 months back effective now. Otherwise you were just assuming nothing would change.
Try seeing if Jevco will honour what they told you before may.

I don't think Jevco will activate a policy 2 months after purchasing the policy. I asked my broker the same thing. I was able to get it activated 2 weeks after payment since weather was still bad.

There's isn't much you can do. I always tell people who are shopping early in the year that the rates are only valid till April 30th and to check back again in May. It's tough but there is nothing you can do!

I have also had situations where they bought a 15 year old sport bike to be insured under Jevco and now they can't insure it as standard bike and must wait to see what happens next year or pay a higher premium.
