Is this HID kit worth it... any past experiences from you gta crowd

HIDs are very easy to install. dont pay more than 30 bucks to have them put in

Don't have experience with that exact model.
Got mine from DDM Tuning in Cali. Ride a Buell 1125r, so I've got 4 HID bulbs in total - middle 2 are always on, 75w each. Outside 2 are Hi Beams, 35w each.
Had the 35w in the middle and regular bulbs for hi beams last year.

The HID's make a *HUGE* difference in brightness - and people can really see you during the day. Safety +1.

If you can take of your fairings by yourself, you can install them yourself. Just need some zip ties and a knife to cut the boot cover on the back of the light. Don't pay anyone to do - it's easier than just about any other mod out there.

Great, more glare kits on the road! Just what we need.

HID's make a huge difference.. I switched my single Low and it makes an awesome difference when riding at night.. I got mine from Grounded Conceptz--and got a better deal that the Kijiji ad listed above.. Their in Oshawa..

Thanks everyone. I will really look into getting some HIDs for my bike.

They are just lighting up the darkness just like your sig says

Yes, but glare kits are not the right way. Do it the right way with a retro fit.

My signature has nothing to do with glare kits but everything to do with my obsession with lights. Don't misinterpret to justify installing these knock offs that make driving difficult for on comers. I suggest the OP visit this forum and do it properly.

Also, I know what I'm talking about. Here's my retro fit how to on my Subaru Legacy.

I wish cops handed out tickets for this more so than anything else. Glare is so dangerous and 6000k lights that give off a blue tint are so difficult for our eyes to process; people just have no idea.

Love your signature :D

Well, you get what you pay for.

Glaring light, fatigue, etc.

However, there ARE substitutes. Before projector housings, there were HIDs in reflective housing (Acura TL, Mercedes as well), these bulbs had a cover on them that prevented them from scattering light all over the place. These are a suitable drop in. If you get the bulbs without the shield.. well.. thank you for making driving more dangerous.

Another option is looking for local retrofitters on HID Planet. They're cheap and do it as a hobby. These guys know what they're doing and can retrofit your headlight over the weekend.

What generation VFR? I have a 6th gen and will be doing a projector retro fit in the fall.

this is why I haven't bothered yet, i don't wanna blind people. I also want to avoid the blue light stuff, why increase the light output into an area where we don't see as well, yellow light is what we process best how ever to keep it normal looking i'd go with a white light look, plus the blue light attracts too many cops and with the changes to our police forces the less I talk to them the better...

have a gen 3 vfr, has h4/9003 bulbs...

OEM is 4300k temperature. 5000k is pure white, like the sun at high noon.

You'll be able to find a 4300k Philips (they're the best, last the longest and most OEM vehicles are Philips) bulb that's a 9003 with a D2R base.

The D2R base looks like this:

You can see the shield on the bulb that reduces light scatter.

This is a D2S base designed for projectors and what a lot of these HID Kits contain.

If you had a 6th gen, I'd help you out.. but I know nothing of the way the 3rd gen is designed. The easiest would be to find a D2R base.

Yep. I saw a bunch of these on my way home last night. Had to block my eyes with my hands they were all bugging my eyes so much. Gave every one of 'em the finger too. (Not that they noticed.)

If you're not sure about the retrofit and you're scared to do it on your own, I actually retrofit (aside from work) for a living.
My kit's include projectors, halo's audi style lights, basically anything you'd like. All bulbs, ballasts, wiring come with a one year warranty.
Here's something I made last week for an 06 zx6r headlight:

<<Edit>>
Also I can fix big holes and cracks if their exist any...

For this case, I didn't sand because no one would be able to see these parts and the added thickness would actually make the structure stronger, but to make it look flush isn't that hard, its an extra 40 seconds of sanding for me...

If anyone wants a how to on your own, i took about 50 pictures this time.

I got my HIDs from Zariz Cycle. Great experience like everyone else on this forum.

Zariz also has/does HID Projector Retro Fit, go to his warehouse and check it out. But like said before, really easy to do your self, bring your bike and do it in the shop for free your self under his supervision! I know he does it all the time.

Check the Review Section! Thats what its there for :p
