Is there a head gasket cover recall for 07 & 08 ZX6R?

Its on the head cover gasket, only supposed to be 07's recalled....The 08's should have came with the superseeded gasket part ....
Well mine is an 07 and I called Kahuna, gave them my VIN, they "looked into it" and called me back saying there is nothing pending on my bike.
Are they pushing me away? Or ?

Just because your bike hasnt been issed a recall formally, doesnt mean you dont have a problem, if its leaking its the rubber gasket itself. And when you go to order a 07 head cover gasket youll see that they have superceded the part number from 11061-0247 to 11061-0378. So there is a new head cover gasket part number, humm I wonder why they changed it...
Ive done a few of these on 07's not under warrenty, pretty much every 07 Ive seen has a leak at the head cover gasket. Some worse then others...Most people just bite the bullet buy the gasket and eat the 1-3 hours labor to swap it....If you really want too you can just remove the current gasket, clean it really well, and silicone bead on both sides before re-installing it and it will seal it just fine...Its only about $30-40 if I remember correctly
