Is it too early for New Year's Resolutions ?

Toy reduction.

3-day work weeks.

More gravel travel, like to hit 5000km on the loose stuff for the season.

I found that my New Year resolutions never move anywhere so it's more like winter dreaming for me (without any obligations).

So my NY resolution/dream is to finally buy my second bike, would be probably 5th time in a row :)

(My real resolution time I really stick to is in July-August - this is when I got my sh*t done..)

I think you need to change the order.. like move kids to #1, you only have maybe 15yrs max to spend with them full time///
Way to make him feel more guilty 😂

I guess my last one is to crank up the side hustle contracting business. Went better than expected first year...so next year I'll see if I can add a few more clients....let's say an extra 3 or 4 and I'm happy.

Not a subscriber to specifically New Year resolutions. But, it does remind me of some things I should change and make some adjustments. I don’t begin them on the 1st of the year.

I just do it and stick with it. The gang at work several years ago all decided to quit smoking. I stopped the day the agreement was made and didn’t wait until January. Still smoke free and don’t track how long it’s been etc.

I’ve made plans to do some things that I normally dismiss on a frequent basis.

Hitting the gym 3/4 times a week since November before everyone goes nuts after the holidays. Knew I wasn’t going to stay as active as I was in the summer and wanted to keep up a regular physical activity. But, it started when New Year’s resolutions were being discussed and I thought, why wait? Just walked in and said sign me up, show me what is what and now I go.

Works for me and avoids the disappointment of breaking a resolution.

Now, doing dry January or sober October is something I’m a little scared of trying.
