Hey folks. I just reserved a iPhone 4S from a Apple store.

I just renewed my contract to get the agreement.

If I pick the item at a Apple store, would they charge the whole price of the phone? or give me a the
subsidized price?

Those of you bought the phone from the Apple store, please help!!

Thanks!!

Why even get it from the store? I went to Bell, paid them the contract price and walked out with a phone... which was in stock btw.

I'm with Rogers, and we really envy Bell people.

Because from what I can remember, apple store phones are factory unlocked.

They can figure out your contract stuff right there at the Apple store. I was able to renew my Fido contract, use my Fido dollars etc through them. I basically walked out not paying a cent for the phone, as the cost will be on my next phone bill.

Speak for yourself. Bell is the worst company to deal with, and at work I am flushing out all their services. Just have to switch the phone lines now.

Rogers isn't great, but its better then Bell from my experience.

+1 they work with all the big service providers, and have access to their system and your account....

If you're picking up a subsidized phone from the Apple Store, would it be locked to your carrier? I understand it's unlocked if you were to pay full price at the Apple Store, but not sure about a situation like short_stop's...

UPDATE:

After a frustration reservation process (servers kept going down due to huge traffic) I had to go to Mississauga Apple store. Even then I had to wait 30 minutes to get to the registration table. The registration with a carrier took another 20 minutes.
But the employees there were helpful, and made the process relatively smooth.

Didn't pay for the phone, as some of you guys stated, I get the subsidized price in the phone bill.
But I did need to pay for the case and the screen protector.

The phone? It's great!!
Everyone know the iphone will never be worst or best among smartphones, but it will always be the benchmark.
I don't think Siri is intelligent enough as the recent hype wants you to belive, but simple reminders it does work.

Thanks for all the inputs people.

Is there still stock left? My cousins need it.

I think you still need to reserve the phone from apple.ca, and pickup from the store the next day.
