The power button on my iphone 4s stopped functioning. Any suggestion on who to go to to fix it while I wait for a decent price? I live in Richmond Hill but don't mind a drive if need be.

Whatever you do, do not take it to some back alley, budget place, or pacific mall.
Ask me how I know... (recently). $250 later, I had to get a new phone for what was supposed to be a simple $50 procedure.

I would highly recommend irepair (http://irepair.ca)
They aren't the cheapest, but for the extra few bucks you have the peace of mind.

As I now understand, the iphone 4/4s are the most complicated out of the bunch to work on out of them all. Touching a wrong area with a metal part might cause a short circuit and wreck the phone entirely.
After getting my 4s back, it would refuse to make/receive calls or send texts. It was basically an ipod even though it seemed fine and said it was connected to my carrier.

Don't mean to scare you.. but caveat emptor...

i know someone that repairs these. hes a senior and will go to your place to fix it. he'll bring tools. highly recommended. he isn't cheap though but atleast you get to see him do it.

Iphones are easy. I've replaced the screen on my phone. Just get a salvage phone off ebay

Oops, hope my 5c/5s is better for that. My 3 is still going strong, cracks and all.

Is the phone still in warranty? If under the 1 year mark it will be covered under the warranty and apple will replace it with zero hassle.
