A processor that's twice as fast, because you'll even notice. Oh wait, cool new colors, if you get the c and not the s. As a die hard apple guy, I'm going to get a galaxy this time around.
 
I might get one (5S), as my old phone is pretty much on it's deathbed and I'm currently out of contract. Although I want to like Android, I've never cared much for it (yet) when playing with other people's phones or tablets, so figure I might drink the Apple kool-aid one more time before potentially jumping OSes (considering I only upgrade phones every 3 or so years).

Side-note: I do find it funny that more than half the reasons I jailbroke my original iPhone 2G are now standard parts of the later incarnations of iOS. The big one being Springboard now known as Mission Control (or whatever Apple is calling it on the phone).

The S stands for "same". Same tiny screen, same lousy keyboard, same lousy battery life, same insane apple pricing ($919 for a 64g phone????)

Who buys one unlocked though? I could see if it meant the monthly rate was dramatically cheaper...
 
With the current legal precedent that says a phone without a password can be searched by police, I hope they got this finger scanner right. Currently I don't password protect my phone as the pita factor to type in the password everytime I use the phone vs. the possibility of getting searched makes it not worth it, but I would love a simple locking system.

I have found fingerprint scanning in the past has been temperamental and that was only recognizing a single finger slid at a fixed orientation at a small range of speed and pressure over a scanner. If Apple has cleaned this up so it can check many different fingers/orientations and without a swipe, it would be awesome (The phone seems meh, but the scanner could be cool).

I am due for a new phone in November, I still haven't decided between 5S and android something. The real-world functioning of the finger scanner may swing apple into the lead.
 
I am not sure how ppl can be so inept.
Line up a Samsung S4 to this new 5s and it would be a no brainer for a 6th grader even...lol
but hey, to each their own.

Agreed, you'd have to be a fool to get the S4 :D

My iPhone 5 just got stolen so I'm itching for next friday

I think you're the first person I've seen mention ROM's in about a year. Screw ROM's, screw them all.

If I were to get an Android phone, and I almost did this past weekend, it would be a HTC One running stock Google Android.

I got a S4, super nice phone :) Screen is insane. I just loaded the AWS unlock so it works with Wind, and switched it from Rogers to Telus to remove most of the bloat ware then uninstalled the MyTelus app that runs in the background. Done :D

I wont laugh at that, that a different type of device imo.
Blackberry has a niche market (BBM) and personally I think they failed to deliver a proper device.

Yup old iPhone4. People tell me all the time to switch cuz their phone has this much ram or mp or gp or whatever. End of the day I'm actually quite content with this phone. Will probably get the iPhone5s cuz I'm due for renewal and my home button is fiffy. Plus I don't want to learn a new OS
