This movie kind of answers the questions of "how did we get here" or "what is going on today".

The premise is simple, we are becoming less civil towards each other. The movie walks you through today's reality of life in the US (similar things occurring here).

I admit that it does start off twisted but he is just dreaming. The workplace scene is very accurate for the most part.
This movie pretty much step by step demonstrates the pressures that people are being subjected to daily.
Every event in the movie is based on reality. It is clear to understand exactly what/who the Director is referring to.

Somewhat entertaining but ultimately very stupid both as a movie and as general social/moral commentary.

Some guy parked his Porsche across two spots so he deserves to die? Making noise in a theater justifies murder? Umm ok.

I think you are missing the point of the movie. He does explain several times who and why he will kill.

There are a few groups and characters in the movie that Canadians would not be aware of or likely to know of.

I'm guessing he only watched the preview, not the movie. IMO the preview makes makes me think the movie is idiotic.

I watched the movie and it wasn't particularly good from a "movie" standpoint... mostly crappy acting, dialogue, etc.

As for the idea behind the movie, I thought it was comically ironic and selfish. This guy is fed up with the way he sees society going, and the way people treat eachother, so he kills a bunch of them because a sadistic girl talked him out of suicide and into homicide.

I laughed throughout most of it because it portrayed the things most of us must feel but are smart and mature enough not to act on. And at the end he does his diatribe, which isn't too far from the truth really, but then winds up shooting everybody in an ultimate act of irony. What's worse, the stupid petty things his victims do throughout the movie, or his serial murders and final mass execution of innocent people? :lol:

Hey, I really can care less. However you rationalize it, that is your prerogative. I am sharing my observation with you. It is no different than if you had a piece of spinach stuck in your teeth that I would let you know.

For someone with the most nauseating self-righteous attitude towards everything and everyone on this board, I'd at least expect you to use proper syntax when talking down to us from your ship of right as we all float in the sea of wrong.
