hey guys i just got off the phone with some insurance companies and it looks like John Duffy was the cheapest i got... :( They quoted $5167 only liability and $6180 full coverage/theft/fire .....

I am 19 years old, Full G, M2 and completed safety course. No tickets and No accidents as well.... 2009 Honda CBR600RR

Any other insurance suggestions? Much appreciated...

As many people on this forum will say, lube up... You're waaaay too young to be on a 600, ergo must pay the price.

you cant say i cant ride a 600 because i'm 19 lool... I've ridden 600's before and they're a perfect fit for me, its just when its time for some legal paper work it gets a bit messy ahaha.....

no offense to your skill level, just referring to your age in the eyes of an insurer and possibly the entire motorcycling community that is over 21 years old lol

Hey I just passed my M1 test last week. I've been calling insurance companies like crazy. Must have called at least 20 places. Any broker or insurance company that uses Intact is a waste of time. Way too expensive. I found that State Farm and Riders Plus were the 2 cheapest. I went with Riders Plus as they were the cheapest by a mile. I'm 35 and drive an 81 Honda gl500 Silverwing, so I'm sure our premiums will be way different. But check those 2 places out. Good Luck!

Unless you've been riding since you were young, I kind of doubt you would be able to make wise/rational decisions (compared to someone who is older and more experienced) on such a powerful machine - which is why the insurance premium is so high. But hey, look at the bright side, my quote for a SS when I was 19 was $11000/yr lol.

That quote seems about right, You could also try facility..

That is the cheapest quote you are going to get which is not cheap by any means lol. If only it was 5 year ago when I was 16 years old and had my CBR 600 F4I insured with Facility (where John R Duffy is quoting you with) for $2800/year. And YES thats with the policy under my name, no vehicle bundles and living in Toronto! :D Alot can change in a couple years!

We arnt saying that. The insurance industry in ontario is.

Your demographic is high risk liability in their eyes. You want to play...you got to pay.. You still might get a bit better of a quote.

Good luck

Thats the best you`ll get. Once you have 5 years of having a license (I`ll assume once you hit 21) you can go to statefarm and HOPE to pay $3600-4000. Until then good luck. What i`m paying is already ridiculous (Turning 22 on 11' CBR 600) but to pay over $5 gs thats too much man. I`d hold off on the bike, not cause of handling it or any of that stuff but purely based on insurance costs.
