Anyone gone through the process of getting their Canadian bike across to Europe, and riding around the UK, France, Spain,Portugal, Italy, Germany......? I understand there is something called a "Green Card", that appears to be readily accessible if you live in Europe.
Talked with several brokers, and drew a blank.

You can purchase green card online for Canadian bike. I did it few years ago. They will ask for vin and few other things and it can be mailed in advance. It is really simple and it gives you liability insurance for period of time.

I got mine here http://greencard.mototouring.com/ There is cheaper place, some American running biker hotel in Romania, he has few amazing around the world threads on adv rider. He did it on really old bikes. I can not look for it now...

Thank you.

No issues? They use an http site, rather than https (to provide a little more security)

This is good stuff to know, I may be shipping my bike over to Europe this year!

I can't offer any details, but I can add what little I do know, it's cheap and easy to get, buddy of mine purchased a bike here, shipped it Europe and did a 3 month ride for his summer vacation, the insurance and such,, he said was very cheap, unfortunatley I forgot what he said it was, and I don't want to say the wrong thing, but something around 20 Euros keeps popping into my head....

If I get a chance to talk to him I will get more info, and try to remember to post back here then.......

.

I had no issues at all. It was about 100 Euro for one month for green card. I will be shipping two bikes next summer and more I look at it more it seems that air cargo is best way. Ship is slow and unreliable and it is destination expenses can be pricey.

What is the average price for air cargo & what country?

I do not understand this comment ===>
