Insurance companies that consider a ZZR600 a sport touring bike still?

Ask them?

Now you're just talking nonsense.

Legit question! Inquiring minds would like to know from from the all knowing masses on GTAM.

Ask them?

To play devils advocate, this is a valid question....perhaps someone here actually owns such a bike and can share first hand experience (and the name of the accepting insurer) versus having the OP potentially fruitlessly call a crapton of insurers wasting his time.

If this was another "tell me how much it'll cost" question I can understand these sorts of responses, but this is a different beast.

Alrighty then. Call State Farm

Must be a bass hat answer.
Lolz ?
But seriously SF should still have decent rates for that bike.

I wouldn't ask SF anything until the new rates are fully in place. Don' want a massive surprise come renewal.

Or...take advantage of the discount before next week's rate hikes. Which, btw, I have all but confirmed.
Try and pay up front in full for the next 3 years!

Never doubt the Macs.

OP should call Desjardins and TD

TD quoted me nearly double what I ended up paying with riders plus, and although I'm a TD customer for my banking and I'm reasonably happy with them, I can't come remotely close to being able to say the same about their insurance offerings.

I know everybody's experience is typically different...so I'm not going to suggest it's not worth the call anyways, but personally I wouldn't get my hopes up for TD specifically. Just sharing my experience for the benefit of the OP.

They probably would but in that case why not go with a more modern 600 since they charge by engine size?

RidersPlus wanted $7200 for my VFR800. TD wants under 2200/yr

I was under the impression that op already has bike. I may be mistaken.

Proof it goes both ways....and why it's worth calling all the options before settling on one.

I'm not sure what point you think you're arguing here

I'm not "arguing" anything, I'm pointing out the reality to the new member (and possibly new rider without insurance experience?) that calling around to all the options is worthwhile instead of taking one persons word here and running with it as the sole option...just because it was cheapest for them.

Insurance is different for everyone. You can't ask people. Just call the companies and find out
