I was told today, that I need to pay $25 to have my address changed on my insurance policy? ahh,,, that seems just wrong,, could I have misunderstood?

Why are you asking your broker to do it? They are charging you for their time. Just call the insurance company listed on your policy yourself.

now, they say it is a rate increase because of the new neighborhood.. appt to complain in person is thurs, ...

Even so, imo it is better they find out now and correct the charges, vs you making a claim down the road and having them invalidate you based on an incorrect address on file...insurance companies love to get out of things any way they can.

Regarding the $25 I don't see how/why they'd charge that, so I'd fight to get that reversed at least...

I would assume that it's a rate adjustment based on the new postal code and not a $25 fee for changing the address.
