Insurance and registration different than license

I was wondering if anyone has had an insurance and registration slip with a different address than the current license? Would the cops care that there are different addresses?

The reason i ask is because if the insurance was cheaper in one neighborhood i would like to usethat address. My car is at another address which is on my license.

Not sure if the cops would care, but your insurance company would! Better to have it all up to date than save a few bucks and screw yourself out of a claim when you need it!

But lets say you have two houses, but you found one address was cheaper. Your license says one address while the insurance and registration says another. Would that be ok? Or do they require the license and registration be atthe same address?

Lol but if my car insurance increases that wouldnt be good :p

Either eay, if i say its my second home or something, would that be alright, or they would insist on the address on the license?

I believe it's insisted upon. Surprised no one else has chimed in. But if you know that one address is cheaper, than just switch the license, registration, insurance, everything over to that one, no?

They will ticket you trust me and that will raise your insurance, make sure they all match. The insurance company can use the second address to rate but put the first one on the slip.

Ok. If my insurance and license is the same but my registration isnt? I filled in one address on the registration, but when i fill in the insurance i can use another address, the address on my license. Just asking.

The location in which the vehicle is primarily stored will have to be the primary address for the insurance slip.

Because otherwise i can just find someone else far away from the city and change my address there to get cheaper insurance.

P.S Sure you can tell the insurance a different address in which the vehicle is stored but when you file a claim and they find out that its being stored elsewhere, you'll be SOL.

I understand saving on insurance but, I wouldn't give the police further reason to question things and your answer will only create more suspicion.

If your vehicle can be registered at one address, why can't your licence have the same address?

This was when I just moved to my new location I got a ticket for not having my registration and driver's license not matching. Went online and changed my address for my driver's license went to court showed them they are both the same tossed out.
