Inazuma: Think it has a chance in Canada?

Meh...it doesn't get my penis tingling. Kind looks like a bunch of spare bike parts put together.

Won't do well in Nth American market- young people tend to like the "ninja" sportbike look here.Especially when in some areas it's a "sport" rather than a means of transport.

I like the lights in the front fairing. I'd buy one if i was a tiny guy looking for a new model inexpensive first bike, but i weigh what that bike is in CC so that's not gonna happen lol

The report says "Suzuki has kept weight down
by emphasizing aluminum parts in the chassis."

Then we see two mufflers for the 250 cc engine.
If a 650 cc V-Strom goes fine with one muffler,
then why put two of them on a mere 250?

It seems that, as too often happens, looks were the primary objective.
I look forward to seeing one at my dealer in, maybe, next November???

It will not do well .... it's a commuter which is supposed to save you money not excite you. Lower price, good MPG and easy on insurance. We have very few people who commute to save money. It's all about excitement, cost and necessity is secondary .... In Europe and elsewhere around the world (where car is expensive proposition to run), it will be a different story.

Plus, they are so late to the 250cc game ... they could have done it loooong time ago instead of focusing on the silly, the more cc the better game.

It looks like a mini gladius. I am partial to naked bikes, but typically naked bikes don't do well in North America. If Suzuki wanted to compete with Kawi and Honda, they should have put a fairing on it. Kawi and Honda have done a great job tricking new riders into thinking that their 1/4 litre bikes are sport bikes when in fact, they are really just small standard bikes with sporty fairings. If Suzuki were to slap a GSXR inspired set of plastics on it, I'd bet it would be a home run.

very valid

Well, on my observation it looks like all america sport bikes are 90% concentrated in GTA... just tho...

Absolutely agree, that bike with fairings and a GSX-R250 name will sell in bundles. N.A. is more about image than anything else.

I think if its price is low then it has a chance, especially if they offer it in more than just black ;)

I agree 100%! A GSXR 250 marketed as the little brother to the 1000,750, and 600 would sell really well, even if the bike itself sucked....

It looks 'O.K'. I agree with you guys that it would do much better in N/A with interest and buzz if they sold it with plastic as a Gixxer 250. That way it could rival the small Ninja & CBR better. The other route they could of gone is to steal the looks of a Ducati Monster or give it more of a 'Streetfighter' type edge to it.

The bike as it stands is a little boring.

It looks like a great bike for M/C schools to teach people to ride on but this bike will do much better overseas in asia/europe than it would in North America. If you ask me, this bike is D.O.A in N/A.
