importing bike not on RIV list

importing husqvarna - not on RIV list

Has anyone had experience with importing a husky to

Im looking to import a husqvarna bike. Unfortunately the brand is not under the RIV list shown here http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/safevehicles/importation/usa/vafus/list2/Section8_0.htm

But in 2008, BMW bought Husky and all BMW bikes are permissable on the RIV list. What i'm wondering is if that list covers subsidiary companies as well

I'm contacting RIV as I type this but was hoping people with experience, if any, could chime in.

mine was a honda, so it was straightforward. Can't comment on the brand, but here's my importing story:

You can't bring a husky and make it road legal. I looked into it already.

New 511s are selling for 8,500 now though.
