Hey guys,

Just looking for some input as to what I can do next Saturday in Miami with my wife & 8 month old. We will be coming back from a Cruise and our flight doesn't leave until around 8:30pm.

I can't find much to do other than go to a mall. Does anyone have any experience in the area?? I found a place called Crandon Park, that looks okay. The Children's Museum is closed to the public that day.

We were going to rent a car to get around but it will cost over $100, and there is a rail system to the airport, so we are going to go drop our bags off and then use the rail system.

Thanks!

once you intoduce the 8 month old, the options sort of drop.
- go to the mall, (Bayside marketplace) there is a sort of open air one downtown near the bridge to the ports. It has some cool little shops and you can kill some time there.
- go to the beach
- spend the $100 and go sight seeing

good luck

Miami Beach has some great old art deco hotels. Go for a stroll and check out some lobbies.

I did the same thing January. Had 10 hours to kill. I rented a convertible but it was too cool to take full advantage. I just walked and drove around aimlessly. Went to south beach and dolphin mall. Ate some crappy Cuban food and got bored. Good luck

Thanks man. I'm sitting in DTW right now, can't believe they finally have free wifi... Maybe Miami has wifi, beats nothing :)

HIt up downtown, go to the bayside marketplace like someone already mentioned. If you wanna see all of miami hit up one of the many boat rides that take you all around miami. About a hour ride, sight seeing done in a relaxing way

Thanks!! I always wanted to do a Chicago boat tour but I bet this will be even better!

Anyone of any good restaurants in Miami? Or night life? Going for my honeymoon in 3 weeks. I got a rental car FYI.

Nightlife and most restaurants you'll find at south beach. Not sure where you're staying but one of my favorite places to eat was right here

If you want some killer fish hit up the bayside market place. Also if you've never been hit up the cheesecake factory, that stuff is like crack...

Also not sure where you're staying or how you're getting there, but i went to miami last december and just got back from west palm beach, and west palm beach was half the price of miami, and miami is an hour away from west palm beach...

Staying at the viceroy hotel in downtown. It's like 1km from bayside market place. Was expensive but it's my honeymoon so spent a little extra. Will check out the restaurant. I'm not a big seafood person but my wife to be is.
