Ignition issues gsxr 600

Hi, have a 05 gsxr 600 and whenever I slip the key in the ignition and turn it on, the key can easily come out and the bike will still be running. I then tried the tail section key which is different than the starter key and all I have to do is slip it in and turn the ignition and it turns on. Basically anyone can rob my bike.
Anyone know what the heck is up with that or how to fix it? New ignition maybe?

And also I installed a new battery in the bike and I'm having trouble starting the bike, seems like some wiring is loose under the seat area, I can hear it like making these clickering noise like it wants to start but just won't give in.

And on my friends gsxr 600, when you start it up and leave it on idle for like a few minutes or longer, the rpm doesn't go below 1000rpm.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The clicking sound might be the starter relay

Your ignition key hole is wrecked. The tumbler should be replaceable by a locksmith or ebay one.

If you installed a new battery did you fully charge it? Sounds like you didnt. As noted the click is most likely the relay. Put your battery on a charger and it should be fine.

On your friends bike their should be an idle adjustment screw that you can work with to set the idle to the correct RPM.

if you have two keys, and your gas cap and seat lock are the same, then the ignition assembly has already been changed once before. as for your idle, it should be 1100rpm when the engine is warm, not lower for oil pressure

Thanks guys, yeah I ordered another ignition off eBay, and I charged the battery and bike starts up fine.
I guess the place where I bought the battery from was just laying around for a long time.
And for the RPM, its fine just over 1000 is what it should be at, not like cars under 1000.
