looks like an old st, not sure about the year

Are you sure it's a Ducati? Many of the styling cues look similar but it's almost like an homage (or chinese copy) as some things just don't seem right.

ducati ss from 2000s with weird nose....
Seems plausible. Frame and passenger handle look very similar. Apparently 1999 900ss in this picture.

Also available in a half fairing version that looks a lot like yours (although still too much fairing, yours may be cut down). Your clutch cover looks like the 900 below. Pics I have found of 750 and 800 have a different taper.

The aluminum swingarm says it's a supersport missing half the fairing. The rubber trim on the bottom edge of the tank says 2000/01.
The timing belt covers suggest its a 98/99. It's probably a bitsa bike.

Why are we playing this game?

Are you looking to buy it? Is the deal too good to be true?

Lol no. Actually I'm leaving tomorrow headed west to deliver two classic Honda MB5'S to a collector and then bringing the Ducati back from the west coast.
I'm also bringing some antique engine and tranny etc for another collector in Barrie.
The reason to ID the Duc is so I can get online specs to figure out sizing etc.
Thanks guys, hope everyone had fun playing along lol.
Also if anyone is considering buying something odd across Canada hit me up, I might be able to help.
