Ouch! How did you fare after your close encounter with the rocks?
That path looks a little worse than my favorite trail that I use to take my FZ1 on.

+1 first thing that came to my mind, just didn't want to be the one to throw the first stone.
Sounds like a lower gear would have helped. Keep two fingers on the clutch at all times when hitting something like that. Never know when u need to feather it for traction or to pop it to brin the front wheel over an obstacle. Also in the dirt corners keep it covered.

Read an article by Gary Bailey about the top mx racers and them covering the clutch almost all the time. This was after a crash by Stewart last sx season where if he had pulled in the clutch the crash wouldn't have happened. It was really an amateur mistake but he is known for not using the clutch like most of the other riders. He compared him to reed who pretty much always has two fingers on the clutch.
 
and he took Reed out in that crash!! Grrr... hoping Stewart doesn't win the Monster Energy Cup
