I think this guy needs new pants

I think my first reaction would be to put the car in reverse and back up into my shoulder lane as soon as I came to a stop and saw the side of truck comming at me.

He seemed very casual about it. Its either he's incredibly stupid or he could've predicted the outcome; I say the former
 
Why reverse? How about not stopping in the dead centre of the road when there's traffic coming the other way and a truck blocking their lane? The snowplow driver, the semi driver, and the camera car driver should all have been killed in a big fireball if there were any justice on earth.
 
Precisely why I hate, hate, hate, whether in the cage or bike, following big trucks, buses and other large vehicles.

Not only do they kick up alot of gravel to chip your windshield/paint, gravel hurts when riding a bike. Caught one on your neck and u'll understand

Easy to say that but I bet the dude was in shock....you just don't expect things like this. Congrats to the semi driver though....quick thinking and reaction.

looks like he pulled out to pass as the small truck slowed down... then he found himself with no where to go and got lucky.

Centre of the road? He is in his own lane. It is the truck driver that is in the wrong lane.

Well, in relation to the heading of the 30-ton truck bearing down on him he was smack dead centre. He certainly made no effort to get out of the way instead of stopping, he even squeezed the opposite lane which isn't usually a good idea at the best of times.

I still think this video lacks a well deserved explosive ending.

The camera cage had time to see and brake and pull in behind the small truck. It's call looking ahead.
