I made a new motorcyclist !

My gf and I went to libretto on ossington for lunch and as I was locking my lid to the bike a little boy (old enough to walk but not old enough to form a sentence) came up and put his hand on the tire and said "motocycle"

His mom grabbed him back and apologized I said that there was no problem. The kid kept pulling towards the bike. So I asked if he wanted to sit on the bike, the mom was gracious and I told her to keep him on the left side because the pipe was on the right.

The kid looked to happy and wide eyed. I left them and told her take as much time as she likes playing, he won't be able to hurt it in any way.

We sat down inside and I could still seem them through the window... For almost 20 minutes. That little kid bounced around on a bike for 20 minutes!!! Epic Cute!

I know little kids normally have short attention spans so wow!! And kudos to the patient mom!

I think he'll be getting a bike as soon as he's 16, and maybe because some guy let him play with one when he was little!

Good for you. Some people would take issue to having a kid they don't know near their bike.

I'm with you, as long as they cant tip it or burn themselves its fine by me. I just wouldn't want to see a child get hurt.

You created a future rider for sure.

When I was 4 I took off from my rents in our buildings parking lot. They found me a few min later perched on top of a harley. They knew I'd be on one some day.

That was nice of you. Many have the "don't touch my bike attitude. My friends 5 year old sits on mine every time I go see him. His wife hates me now :D

Good for you. But I was expecting to read a very exciting story, like:

"I made a new motorcyclist, my girlfriend is due in November... "

When I was about 5 or 6 a stranger took me for a boat ride. They were all wood back then and I remember the smell of it. I love the smell of spar varnish to this day.

Two thumbs up for you and also for the mom who didn't look at your bike like it was the 25 cent ride outside the mall.

Awesome man, its stuff like this that change lives. For example when I was 14 I was bored as could be at a wedding and an old guy came up and asked if I wanted a ride in his street legal Porsche 964 race car...Since that day I wanted one of my own and sure enough 13 years later, Im building it.

Awesome story, I would do the samething, I have a 5 year old and he would go bonkers if someone did that for him... It's great to see some still have a heart as many have the don't f**k with my stuff attitude.

I had something similar happen but it was a dog and it wanted to kill me. Luckily it was on a leash. Lady walking it across the crosswalk almost wiped out, though.
