I like the biker brotherhood we have!

Ran out of gas on 403 (I am an idiot should've filled up). Called my brother to bring some gas and while I was waiting two people stopped for help. A guy in a white Chrysler 300 and a Mazda 3. Bother were riders. Thank you so much for stopping by and asking if everything was ok. I really like how we care for each other and I will definitely stop to ask a rider if he is ok when given a chance.

These threads are funny cause its either people thanking others for caring or whining about why no one stopped.

Majority of the riders are pretty nice and polite always wave at fellow riders, if I saw a rider having trouble I would stop and ask if they would need help.

when I once highsided on a highway entrance, six cars stopped, two called 911, one guy in a minivan offered to lift my bike home for me, none were riders, all were awesome.

Way to endanger lives.
Please take a safety riding course.

You know nothing about what caused the crash. It was a patch of diesel fuel spilled on the on-ramp. I couldn't even see it after walking over the pavement. And how does a single vehicle crash endanger lives? More sanctimony please.

Way to play down walking away from a high speed collision

I once found a loaf of bread scattered over the on-ramp. How things play out in the moment isn't always ideal.

Your bike could have went cart wheeling into oncoming traffic.
Glad you are okay. Btw- if you have the proper body position you would have low sided the bike instead.
Provide more details if you would like.

Do you even ride/own a bike dude? Or just sit on the computer all day, uselessly commenting on every single thread you find?

Congrats, you've officially made it to my ignore list. :)

Back to OP - I usually stop if someone looks distressed, bike or car. Some people need help, some don't. You can use your helmet to indicate that you would like for someone to stop, btw.
When I low-sided in the gravel last year, I had quite a few cars stop/slow down as well, even though I was with another rider.

What does that say about you commenting on useless threads?

You might not have been so thankful (in regards to 911 being called without your consent) if you had received a rather hefty invoice that some municipalities have been known to send to "out of towners" who use their emergency services. Even if you did not need to be extinguished, put on a backboard, taken to hospital in an ambulance, etc you can still find yourself on the hook for those services if you do not belong to the municipality that you have the unfortunate luck to crash in.

Anyways OP, i usually do the same thing for motorcycles that are pulled over. i just check if they are alright. Not so much for cars though as you might be stopping for something you wish you didn't..unless there is a clear indication something is wrong with the car and looks like someone could've gotten hurt..i will definitely stop. (always got a med kit in my backpack if i have it with me) used it once when a teen got hit by an SUV

Probably rode an e-bike scooter for 1 week now a pro.

I rode a scooter once back in the day, but I did slay a dragon or two as well.

My buddy crashed following me up a ramp 3 months ago. After I pulled over and shame walked my buddy's bike off the highway a friend who rides with a tow truck came, a friend's friend who knew what my bike looked like u-turned to ask if we were okay and the next day I noticed 2 posts on GTAM asking about me (yay my bike is recognized!).

Sometimes ppl are ********, but the biker family is generally nice =)

EDIT: Btw JohnnyP636, thank you for the powder coat job you did on my bike!

Always nice to hear. Concern from fellow drivers is hit or miss but most riders seem to look out for each other. I've been on both ends of the stick and it feels good to give and/or receive an offer of help. If a rider looks to be in some trouble I always stop if I spot it in time. If he's simply pulled over I'll slow down and give a thumbs up... if I get thumbs in return I nod and keep going.

Curious if insurance covers this ..
I guess in both cases .. If u really needed to get extinguished and airlifted .. Or if you didn't .. Hopefully none of us will find out the hardway

E-bike's aren't scooters brah.
