Dear Mods: if this post isn't ok please take it down.
But that said I work in Richmond Hill and have gone to Z1 which is about 5 mins a way from my work for the last few years and I'm going to miss them now that they're gone. They're a bit far for me to continue regular maintenance with them. So I've been trying to find a new place in the area to get work done.
I did some searching around and have recently discovered another shop in that area. The shop is run by a guy named John Kever of Big John's Bike Shop. He's an independant and does work mostly on vintage Harley's and Custom Choppers (he has worked on honda / yamaha cruisers as well). He's a certified mechanic and runs a small shop that's hidden away in the area. He definitely knows his way around a motorcycle and knows how to make custom pieces. I've gotten some oil changes done and tires mounted (but I've supplied all my own tires and oil / filters) and he's helping me out with a custom cafe racer build I'm finishing up.
Anyhow if you're in the area and just looking for a simple oil change or tire swap his rates are reasonable and he's in the area. If you want to know more PM I can give you more details. Since I'm sure he's not a vendor on here I'm not sure if this post is kosher but I have gotten work done and I thought I'd share as there may be more people looking for someone just a bit closer to work / home.
Anyhow hope this helps anyone looking for some general maintenance work for the spring that isn't comfortable doing it themselves.
