I dropped my '08 ninja250 ...

This is my first season of riding, and I've dropped my bike a total of two times .... every time that I have dropped it, there has been this green liquid leaking out underneath my bike - I've been told that it's coolant liquid, but I want to double check here with others that own the same vehicle I do.

I also had trouble turning the bike on after I had dropped it. It wouldn't start initially with the choke on in neutral - so what I did was turn the bike on in neutral, with the choke on and then full rev, then it would turn on. Usually when I start the bike I don't need to rev in order to get it going.

So my question here is:
a) Is the green/yellow-ish liquid leaking out of my ninja250 coolant liquid? If not, what would it be?
b) Is it normal that I need to: neutral, choke on, full rev after I have dropped the bike in order to get it going?

Thanks in advance :D

a) That's coolant. It's probably spilling out of the overflow bottle. Check your overflow to make sure you have sufficient coolant as the system does take coolant from there when cooling down. Check your manual, it's on the side of the engine somewhere generally and there are full and low marks on it. Nothing to be worried about unless the rad was punctured in some way and you continue to get coolant leaking out long after the fall.

b) Not sure if that's a carbed bike..but if it is, it's not unusual to have trouble starting..the fuel in the carbs usually spills out of the bowls and either onto the engine or into the engine. Takes a bit to get it full and clear again.

Yeppp....it's a carbed bike and yes, it does take a while as I learned from experience on the same year bike. Lol.

Thar ya go OP! It spilled all the fuel out of the float bowl and it has to refill. No biggie.

Oh and I have one last question, after I dropped the bike and was able to start it up again, I decided to open my gas tank and then there was this "pop" noise like it released some pressure - similar to opening a bottle/can of pop ... I'm assuming that the pressure is just from the drop?
