I am another newbie (and pretty clueless haha)

Greetings everyone,

I am very new to biking, my brother has a bike, and really enjoys it, but as an oldtimer
I am quite interested in a dirt bike for my "bug out bag"
Dirt bikes are a good way "off road" so I am hoping there will be people who can
comment on what would be a good "starter bike" I am quite forgetful, so forgive my "point form"

1) what are the regulatory licsence aspects that I need
2) I am by no means "svelte" so I am 200 lbs, and knapsack of 50 lbs
what type of bike should I be looking at?
3) Looking for decent milage, and I think i want an older bike, no computer parts that would
krap out in an EMP world (gotta be able to escape those zombies ya know!)
Can anyone suggest what to look for in a bike? (cheaper is better, my job is worse than a call center!)
4) Yes, Darryl from walking dead is my hero!
5) I have a good sense of humor, so I expect to get "razzed" a plenty
6) It would be nice to have a fun bike to use, how tough are bikes to maintain

7) OK, I am off to read the FAQs!!! please help!!!!

Welcome :)

I don't know anything about dirt bikes so can't be of much help.

If you have not ridden for awhile I suggest taking the basic riding course which will get you your M2, if you are not already licensed. You will learn a lot and it is a god confidence builder.

Of course you will need to get your M1 before that (a written test). Not a big deal.

Welcome!!
