Looks like it could have been a left turning vehicle again....but I cant see a cross road in the video.

RIP

Impact damage appears to be on driver-side rear passenger door. This is very odd if the two vehicles were in fact traveling in opposite directions. More likely making a left turn onto the highway from a laneway / side road crossing the path of the rider.

I just drove that section of Highway 7 last weekend and the road is good but average speed is pretty fast.

RIP Rider.

RIP rider

Sadly, sometimes it is the best people that we lose far too early. Another young woman was responsible for one of my best friends two years ago. Burying a friend is never something you want to do. He was a great guy also- reliable and a hard worker. He didn't have a chance as his car was t-boned by a red light running corolla. Didn't live to see 30. All my best wishes go out to you and his family.

I knew him, dated my mother years ago.. Funny - I just started riding this year and had been thinking about him a lot since, never made the effort to get in touch.. Great guy, great heart, full of life, biker for life (even named his son after a bike).

RIP Smokin' Dave. Ride on where it never rains.
